Almost History is a family owned business now with two charming locations. Wayne and Blanca have been associated with gift shops for many years. Wayne's parents operated "Armors Hearth and Home" in Delaware for 52 years, so he has an extensive background in store management. In addition, Wayne and his brother are accomplished craftsmen and have been building custom Colonial and Primitive furniture for many years. Comments from friends and relatives about these pieces led to the custom designed furniture business. Almost History started with a small 14' by 17' rented shop in Chesapeake City in March, 2001. They have sold the Chesapeake City location and are now located in Newark, DE across from the Christiana Hospital and in Historic New Castle, DE.
Wayne, Blanca, and their employees, truly enjoy working with customers and seeing their joy when they discover how they can bring a part of history into their present surroundings. They love to help their customers solve a decorating problem or find the "right" accent for their homes.
